Yeah maybe but this is up for offer anyway.
I already have a Thermarest Z seat that doesn't get used and is a bit small, instead I take a chair most of the time.

A couple of pairs of BlackWolf hiking pants.
Great LW breathable fabric with a zip on the thigh for extra ventilation. Nice long legs and very hard wearing nylon, not at all sweaty either.
Pix on request Suit a bigger feller, waist a nominal 40inch, easy to sew smaller
I don't do much warm weather walking so no longer needed for UV protection
Will probably fit in a medium satchel

A 3 litre bladder I have never used as I find them less effective for me.
This is the version with the large screw top, came from a PIF M.U.L.E via Neo
With padding it will fit in a medium satchel

I've come in to possession of some old equipment, it's been in storage for at least 15 years, the backpack and sleeping bag look in good condition if anyone wants them.

The backpack is a blue canvas Wilderness Equipment Discovery 2, mens size M, looks like 60l, the canvas is currently covered in mould but should clean up OK, it's otherwise in very good condition, canvas is all intact and the belt padding still feels springy.

Sleeping bag is a black and purple Mountain Designs down, hooded, rectangular, pertex fabric. The label says 1156g. It lofts up very well and looks and smells OK.

I don't think they have been used much. Old fashioned and heavy by todays standards but I think they'll still work... or maybe someone just wants some classic Australian hiking gear.

I'm in Sydney inner west-ish.

Would you be able to PM me a picture of that bag? It sounds familiar. I'd be interested for one of my grandkids.
For sleepovers; not for camping. Happy to pay postage

ArmaSkin liner socks size XL

These have been worn once. I have had several pairs of size L, but when last replacing a well used pair I decided to try a size XL as well. This was an experiment that failed, so if you can use the XLs they are yours.

Ski pants, USA "Serac" brand, size S/P. I bought these in 1998, in MEC Vancouver from memory, they have had one week's use. They appear not to have deteriorated whilst being stored. There is a small brown mark on one leg which can be seen in the first photo, I haven't tried cleaning it.

North Face shorts, these are a brownish-olive colour. They are size 8 but I reckon I was a smallish 10 when I wore them. They are a really nice pair of shorts.

Kathmandu size 10 zip-off pants, unworn. Zip pockets on both thighs. The fabric has some stretch and a nice rib finish. The waistband is not stretchy however.

Aldi l/s top, size M however it's more of a size 8. Has small mesh underarm panels.

Hi I don’t suppose there is any chance you still have the shorts and strides ?

Any thoughts on a combo PIF?

Where you bundle two or three items, interested party takes the lot.

If I'm correct, PIF means the offering person sends it free (at their cost), with the receiving person morally obliged to offer up something in the future...

Yes, ideally, receiving person does offer something up, but they may not have anything to offer.

At the end of the day , isn’t it about re homing our unnecessary stuff somewhere where it will be used/loved/whatever?

Agreed. Maybe you fancy an offered item then don't have anything to follow on with. No worries here :)

Revising my stuff this month...

When I've accepted items from PIF I have always paid for postage. It's enough that the person is giving their stuff away for free, I don't expect them to pay to send it to me

I got pinged for offering more than a single item. Forum rules and in some ways it makes sense but after a while, you can't update the post anyway to say it's sold.

Re paying for postage, the time spent posting it is a bigger deal to me than getting back the cost of posting it. But we're all different. Some are happy with free post, others aren't on principle. For some, $20 is a dent in their budget.

I thought that was the protocol.

Anyway, I do have something to give away, and I'd appreciate the taker paying for the postage.

Unopened packet of Injinji socks. Size L. One size too big for me.

Edit: the image comes out quite burred. Label states M: 11-13 W: 12+ EU: 43-44.5 UK: 10.5-13

Hey, Peregrinator, I’ll take the Injinji socks if they’re not already gone.

Happy to pay postage (I’ve always assumed that was the deal :) ).

I’ll PM my details so we can connect.

One Energizer lithium 123 battery. New unused but has been in the glove box for a couple of years. I lost the torch that it fits.

Free here in PIF just PM me a name and postal address, within Australia.

This isn't a bushwalking item but I have a mattress topper that I have somewhat sculpted to fit in the back of a gen 4 Subaru liberty wagon with the rear seats folded down. My partner and I used it for about a dozen nights and with a ccf may beneath it does the job. We've since upgraded to a higher density mat and a different car.

If anyone has any use for it please let me know, I'd hate for it to end up in landfill.

Located Melbourne, happy to meet somewhere. Message for photos.

I haven't cut much off it really and it could be made to fit most wagons if someone wants to continue its life.

I have some kids car camping sleeping bags here. The grandkids have grown up and they are not needed any more.
Not worth posting these but if you are around the Geelong area pick-up is welcome.
Also my big Arctic overbag I made using Thinsulate and some LamiLite from Wiggys via CrossFire is available also.
The overbag works well but is too heavy for bushwalking, would cost about $30- to post, adds 15 to 20 degrees on any existing synthetic bag but too heavy to use over an UL down bag.
So pickup recommended for this too

I have an old MSR whisperlite fuel pump that is broken, the plunger comes right out.

If anyone thinks they can fix it or wants it for parts let me know. I can send some photos if it helps.

I am moving state soon and the purge has begun.

Very old thermarest 3/4 mattress.

When using it a few years ago I sat on the valve and it jammed. I am not sure if the current valve could maybe be fixed with some pliers but I was told by thermarest I can replace the valve with a kit they sell. It is the old metal style and the mat is roughly 40 years old but is in good condition otherwise. Message for photos.
Edit: tbe valve is stuck open so posting is no problem.

2 metal fuel bottles, quite beaten up and one O ring is missing.

Pickup Melbourne or can be posted. I've got more to get rid of coming soon.
