TIP: The online Bushwalk Inventory System can help bushwalkers with a variety of bushwalk planning tasks, including: Manage which items they take bushwalking so that they do not forget anything they might need, plan meals for their walks, and automatically compile food/fuel shopping lists (lists of consumables) required to make and cook the meals for each walk. It is particularly useful for planning for groups who share food or other items, but is also useful for individual walkers.

Hello people of the forum.

I'll be in Launceston tomorrow, and I have no idea where the to go for the best bushwalking shops. Best recommendations? :D

Thanks,

All the usual retailers are in Launceston - MacPac, Kathmandu, Paddy Pallin

Then there is Allgoods, which is a Tasmanian store and has a range of stuff similar to Paddy Pallin.

My personal favourite is Aspire Adventure Equipment which is a newcomer to Launceston and is owned by a bunch of guys who used to work for Tasmanian Expeditions.

Locations:
Macpac and Kathmandu are in Kingsway between York and Brisbane Streets

Paddy Pallin is on George St between York and Brisbane Streets

Allgoods is at 71 York St

Aspire is at 136 York St
