Ok, getting a bit desperate, so hope there's someone out there that can give me advice.
I am looking for longer length hiking pants for women. I am just over 1.80m and am really struggling to find hiking pants that are long enough to fit me comfortably. I have tried men's models, but I do have thunder thighs and a bum, and men's models really don't fit me well.
I have resorted to walking in shorts most of the time, but planning on doing some colder weather hikes and would like to bring pants along for that.
Anyone?

Agree, That'll be my plan B - but would just love to find myself a pair of good fitting pants (more comfortable and less hassle)

Just thinking. I know that Caro Ryan from lotsafreshair blog, is 175cm... or 5 foot 9". I wonder what advice she may have for you. Maybe you could message her on her face book page. I'm sure that there is nothing like knowing the dilemmas of a tall girl, than another tall girl.
Best wishes.

Ah! Thanks Kitty! Prana definitely seems like a good option! Will give them a go - unfortunately it seems that the Aussie retailers don't provide the length options, will do a bit ore research.

Montane Terra's are nice pants, (the mens version at least) strong and light:

Have you tried Mont Adventure pants? They have plenty of room in the backside and thighs, and are also relatively long (too long for me, really, but they fit everywhere else). A solidly made and extremely well-designed high-waisted walking pant.

Update - thanks all for the great suggestions. Went for the prana pants in the end - they are great (really long and plenty of room for the butt and thighs). I now own three pairs (two Halle models and one other model, can't remember the name, but it's a zip off one). Ordered one pair online and two through the local outdoor store. Very happy with them! I no longer look as though I'm preparing for a flood

Thanks again!

I'm 178cm and just ordered the marmot lobo's - I hope they'll be tall enough for me
I originally looked at the Prana Halle - can't remember what changed my mind - might have been the water resistance. If the marmots aren't long enough I'll take them back and try the Prana. Have you worn them in light rain/drizzle by any chance?

For the record - the size 12(US) marmot lobos are plenty long enough for me - a tall woman with long legs. Recommended. Dry in a flash too.
