One Planet's new Larrikin pack

TIP: The online Bushwalk Inventory System can help bushwalkers with a variety of bushwalk planning tasks, including: Manage which items they take bushwalking so that they do not forget anything they might need, plan meals for their walks, and automatically compile food/fuel shopping lists (lists of consumables) required to make and cook the meals for each walk. It is particularly useful for planning for groups who share food or other items, but is also useful for individual walkers.

One Planet's new Larrikin pack

Postby madpom » Sun 24 Jan, 2021 3:09 pm

To my horror I discovered today that One Planet have ceased to make the Strezlecki - I was about to order my 4th.

Can anyone shed light on the replacement Larrikin model compared to the Strezlecki?

The new model is not yet available in NZ so I'd be ordering blind by post.

- what's changed
- bottom section dimensions particularly (for packraft which just fitted in Strezlecki)
- Ruggedness?

Any feedback very welcome.

My first thought on reading this was "how could anyone wear out three Strezleckis ?"

Then I read your country of domicile.

One Planet customer service is helpful and responsive. I suggest that you contact them direct with your query and the details that you have posted here, particularly your concerns relating to dimensions and the pack raft.

Hey Madpom,

Looks like the same capacity, body shape, lid harness and materials with an updated external attachment system and front pocket opening - same same but different/improved?

Good luck!
