XXL Gaiters?

Hi All,

Does anyone have any recommendations for gaiters that are a little larger than normal. I use S2S Canvas Quagmires in the XL size and they are a little too tight around my calves (my calves measure around 47 cm). To get them around my calves I have to leave the velcro half undone which means the velcro tends to pick up grass seeds and other assorted rubbish.

Cheers
Kevin

I can't quite get the S2S gaiters to fit either. Had thought of making some wedge shaped 'extenders'; a fabric section with velcro sewn on each side.
Their soft 'Tumbleweed' gaiters stretch for larger bods (but are more of a low/dry country gaiter)

 ... and I haven't even talked thighs yet - there is reason that I do almost all my walking in shorts

Hi Nuts

I've done the 'wedge' thing before and they work OK . I didn't get fancy though - I just cut the gaiter in half and sewed in an extension, although my skills with a sewing machine are a little limited  I'm kind of hoping to find something that looks a little more professional and also doesn't have the extra seams on them.

I've sent a message to Tasgear on fakebook so I'll see how I go there - it looks like their sizes are a little more generous.

Cheers
Kevin

Hi
I can certainly make gaiters to suit large calves. Send me a PM on here of via facebook.
One day I might even get my website running again!
