It is pretty much what it says it is - a combination of a chlorine based disinfectant (Sodium Dichloro-s-triazinetrione dihydrate) and an unspecified floccing agent. The box contains 30 little sachets, each weighs about 1g and each of which can be used to treat 1 litre of water.
I scooped some water out of the gutters and gave it a try.
It seems to work. According to the instructions you still need to filter the water. Haven't been game to drink it though.
I've clogged filters before with muddy water so thought I might throw a few of these in with the first aid kit, for those times when the only water source is a muddy hole.
