TIP: The online Bushwalk Inventory System can help bushwalkers with a variety of bushwalk planning tasks, including: Manage which items they take bushwalking so that they do not forget anything they might need, plan meals for their walks, and automatically compile food/fuel shopping lists (lists of consumables) required to make and cook the meals for each walk. It is particularly useful for planning for groups who share food or other items, but is also useful for individual walkers.

I'm using some of the money from the sale of my tunnel tent to buy a Black Diamond Megalite tent and I want a decent groundsheet to use with it if conditions are soggy

Hi MD yes I have one of those as well as their half inner with the mesh.

I use them with an MSR Front Range pyramid that is nine foot square or 2.7x2.7m and they fit well. Just within the edges and can use some of the same pegs of the fly. I always peg that side of the shelter low and have never had any water run into the floor.

The floor is good, feels thick enough but I still add a piece of tyvek underneath, the corners and bathtub sides work well. There is a reinforced patch to sit the pole on and an elastic there to keep the middle edge upright.

Mostly I use the half inner for the the tiny critters. With both the pyramid and the floors I have added some thin doubled bungee loops at some points to aid tying out.

I also have the Alton bathtub floor, it is good just thinner, smaller, lighter, not as wide. Have only used it with a rectangular tarp.

Again from tomorrow actually! Last two months have been overwintering up the coast indoors. I tend to hibernate when it's particularly cold or hot :)

I had to dig around to find dimensions, looks like the Mega Light is seven foot square (218cm).

I'll hold off on the purchase until I can get the new mid erected and measured properly as my recollection is 8'6" or 2150 * 2150 so a bathtub floor 2400 certainly won't fit.
Did BD change the size as a way of making the Megalite megalighter?

Forgot to add a link to the dimensions I spotted. Here it is. The BD listing I found only had area and packed dimensions. Could be a different version.

I have just swapped my Patagonia DAS for the mesh inner Bainsy has listed.
If it works out that is a win for both of use
