TIP: The online Bushwalk Inventory System can help bushwalkers with a variety of bushwalk planning tasks, including: Manage which items they take bushwalking so that they do not forget anything they might need, plan meals for their walks, and automatically compile food/fuel shopping lists (lists of consumables) required to make and cook the meals for each walk. It is particularly useful for planning for groups who share food or other items, but is also useful for individual walkers.

Child Carrier - WE Wildchild Fit/Comfort

Postby abnz » Wed 26 Oct, 2022 6:12 pm

It's time for us to get our little one out in the back country. We already have a very basic child carrier and this has passed the kid approval test. We are now looking for something comfortable for the parents.

Research has lead us to two primary choices - WE Wildchild (appears a favourite on this forum) or the Deuter Kid Comfort.

The WE Wildchild unfortunately does not appear to be available on our fair shores here in New Zealand, but looks to tick pretty much every box from a spec perspective. In particular i like the additional volume compared to many other options in the market. We would have to however purchase 'sight unseen' and won't be able to test the comfort factor and adjustability for both parents - so some risk here notably as the pack will be taking heavy loads with kid + gear.

If anyone's able to kindly share their experience with fit and comfort of the WE Wildchild that would be much appreciated.
