Hello everyone,

what are your (fairly recent) experiences with ordering from Tarptent? How long did it take? Did you need to pay taxes/customs?

I will be flying from Sydney to Tassie on the 14th of December and would like to take a TT Scarp 2 with me. Since I am traveling around at the moment, I do not have a permanent adress to which I could get the shipment ... does anyone have experience with getting imported good shipped to a parcel locker? Is that even possible if you need to pay tax/customs?

Got a TT delivery to my house in Sydney on Friday. Took 7 days. No taxes paid. Worth noting TTs printer must be faulty because it didn't print out the dollar value!

Ask TT directly ([email protected]) but I doubt they will deliver to a parcel locker.

It was over a year ago now, but my ProTrail Li took almost a month and went via Japan for some strange reason, despite paying for express delivery. Put it down to the ongoing woes of the pandemic. Our pre-pandemic delivered Double Rainbow Li got here here in under a week.

In neither case did we have to pay import duty, GST etc.

My recent order took about a week and no additional fees on import.

Thank you all for your replies ... I ordered it and hope that it will arrive in time.

Update: The tent has arrived, which makes it about 10-11 days including seam sealing by TT. Delivery to a Australia Post Office was no problem (Parcel Collect, NOT Parcel Locker! UPS cannot deliver to a Parcel Locker)
