camp footwear - keen kanyons

I just picked up a pair of keen kanyons to use as camp footwear on multi-day trips.

They pack flat and will take much less space than the crocs I was using (hence they'll be in my pack rather than hanging outside).

I've got wide flat feet (surprise surprise) so they're a little uncomfortable but will be okay for short walks. I wouldn't want to walk all day in them. They've got good toe protection too :-) . My feet would slip on the soles of the crocs. I don't think these will have that problem.

I think they are light enough to for rocky creek crossings on day walks too.

The crocs I had been using are a sandal style (that was discussed/pictured on these forums) and seems to have been discontinued. I can't find the thread where someone posted a photo of the particular crocs.

I have the ladies keen whispers which I love. They are very very comfy with good grip. My only gripe (and it doesn't bother me that much) is the enclosed toe collects little bits of bark/sand and it doesn't just fall out. You have to usually take them off to get it out.

Also love my new crocs. Im living in them this summer

Good thread. More than a few take camp footwear with them. Being size 49 Euro the XXXL Crocs can be a space hog in a pack as I prefer to keep everything in my pack if I can. Tried a pair of beach footwear and while pack flat there is not enough cushioning in the sole. Still have not what I found for I am looking for in campwear yet. Crocs are the best I have come across yet.

Cheers
