A truckload of red chilli salmon pouches now in my hiking stash 8) Don't like the look of the Woolies brand flavours at all.

I must say, I tried the Sirena tuna a couple of times. I did wonder what all the fuss was about.

Agree, I like the Aldi smoked trout and its said to be sustainable. Riga sprats are good too. SAFCOL btw used to stand for South Aust Fish Coop Ltd or something similar but sold out decades ago, most of their stuff is canned in Thailand now, ditto John West. Should you happen to be in Tasmania, someone at Salamanca (?Tassal) had Salmon jerky

It just occurred to me...
Most of us probs have a vac sealer. I can't imagine that if one were to transfer the contents of a tinned tuna to a smaller vac pouch, that the shelf life degredation would matter at all from a walking point of view.

I'll be the party pooper and say the best tuna is the one swimming in the sea.
