dried pesto

Postby ebanna » Thu 15 Jun, 2023 6:35 am

Hi, I thought I'd share this recipe for shelf stable pesto made with dry ingredients. I made it recently and we had it with pasta, drizzled with olive oil. I added some dehydrated lime slices I had lying around, we liked the citrus flavour. I'm very excited to add it to our bushwalking dinner repertoire - it's healthy too!

Hmm, worth a try. I dislike jarred pesto or tubes of basil (or jarred garlic) as there is almost always a lot of vinegar, which doesn't belong. Citrus okay - I sometimes use it if I'm making a pesto like sauce for pasta and don't want cheese - lovely bright note. thanks!
