With the release of 64 bit MacOS Catalina 10.15, older 32 bit apps such as JaVaWa GMTK are no longer compatible. With the author of the app down with illness, it's unlikely it'll be updated. Just wondering here if anyone has found an alternative on the Mac platform to rename and change MapID amongst others to permit installation of OSM maps on a Garmin device.
Any pointers would be highly appreciated.

I am always keen to find ways around abstructions to getting what I want to work.
A word of warning, I know absolutely nothing about MAC and have no idea if this will actually work.
I found this link

Gmaptool will change the mapid. Not sure if it changes any of the other name types that the javawa tool does.

Thanks! Unfortunately it's a command line tool still for the Mac version... Bummer. Haven't done UNIX command line for a while and will have to brush up again. At least it's a solution. Appreciate it!

I was unable to get either version of the command line versions of gmt to output anything except 'command not found: gmt'

Thanks! Looks like we’ll have to wait for an alternative.
