OSM query - where can I see other peoples tracks?

Postby cliffold » Sat 24 Jul, 2021 10:23 am

Very basic question about OSM Maps
I understand that many people upload their GPS tracks but how can I see them?
For instance if I'm interested in walking in an area is there any way to see which routes others have taken?
Thanks

Click Layers on the right, and then enable Public GPS Traces.

Keep in mind that these are more likely to be actual tracks or roads (than routes), and will probably already be on the map.

The Strava Global Heatmap is interesting too. Just look for the faint lines - they are often the most interesting routes.
