Congratulations Tony - a lovely photo

John
I thought your flowers were well taken as well - great depth of focus. They got my vote.

I was at a campsite know as Attunga next to the Bangadilly National Park. About 20kms west of Bowral.
If the weather had been milder (I thought it was cold enough for snow) and I had been feeling better (I was living on Panadol), I would have liked to explore the Park. This photo was taken from some of the tracks in the campsite looking over the drops down to the Wollondilly River.

Thanks very much Brian. The Patersonia were prolific on the day I did that walk and just begged to be photographed.

Your photo (apart from being a nice image and outlook :)) also grabbed my attention as I couldn't place it, and I've walked in much of the Southern Highlands region over the past 8 or 9 years. In fact I've been there twice in the past few weeks (including one walk in the Belanglo State Forest - location of the infamous 80's backpacker murders). I'm aware of Bangadilly NP but haven't yet got around to visiting it or it's immediate surrounds. That NP was only declared a few years ago from memory. It looks like a nice place to visit and I've already got the topo maps covering that area, so I might have to elevate it up the to do list. If you visit there again this guy (a bird watcher) has some notes for a couple of short walks, one starting from Attunga: http://users.speedlink.com.au/~cchafer/walks/Canyonleigh.html.

I know what you mean about the cold. We camped overnight on the airstrip at Penrose State Forest a few years ago, before a winter rogaine. It was something like minus 5 in the morning and the entire outside of the tent had iced over .
