I should probably have mentioned in the title that my picture was taken from Mt Wellington (if you hadn't figured that out anyway). An awesome ending to a great day of walking. At least I had some joy from the Chilean ash cloud

I suspect your shot was taken on the same day as mine. On the way out from Black Bluff we drove past Mt Roland which was glowing a purple colour due to the ash the likes of which i've never seen! Unfortunately it was over so fast by the time we came to a clearing to get some photos it was over.

Well done ILUV, and unlucky SBS. I'm looking forward to next months comp as I have seen a few pearlers already.
