Nice to know that perspective. However, I suspect most amateur users won't put their equipments through that kind of pace.

Go Zeiss!

That's why I have a case full of totally manual Carl Zeiss T* primes.

Even though they're old they work beautifully with modern mirrorless bodies, in my case an X-E1 with a Metabones SB focal length reducer for that 'full frame' effect and an extra f stop.

So nice having some f/1.0 lenses.

Maybe not quite up to the magic Zeiss CP.2 lenses, but good enough for me, and as it turns out these old lenses are now very popular with cinematographers too.
