Cradle Mountain Road and Belvoir Road – Reports of heavy snow in the area, motorists to consider necessity to travel, use extreme caution, reduce speed and drive to the conditions.

HAZARDOUS ROADS:

Belvoir Road – Road open to Mine Traffic from Murchison Hwy. Road from Hellyer Mine to Leary’s Corner open to 4WD only

Cradle Mountain/Lake Dove Road – Light dusting of snow between Dolcoath Rd and Ranger’s Station. Open to all vehicles. Caution signs in place. 4WD only from Ranger’s Station to Dove Lake.

Gordon River Road (Tim Shea) – Light snow – 4WD vehicles only, extreme caution.

Highland Lakes Road – Snow and ice patches from Miena to Liffey turnoff, drive with extreme caution.

Highland Lakes Road – Snow Bakers Tier to Miena – 4WD vehicles only, extreme caution.

Lake Dobson Road – Snow throughout – 4WD vehicles only, extreme caution

Lake St. Claire Road – Snow throughout – 4WD vehicles only, extreme caution

Lyell Highway – Snow patches between Derwent Bridge and Collingwood River. Caution signs in place.

Marlborough Road – Ice and Frost – 4WD vehicles only, extreme caution.

Mount Road/Ridgley Highway – Snow patches between Highclere and Fingerpost. Caution signs in place.

Olivers Road – Ice patches around Lemonthyme Road intersection. Road being treated, caution.

Poatina Road – Frost and snow from Bothwell turn off to Poatina, drive with extreme caution.

St Leonards Road/Blessington Road – Ice on Corra Lyn Bridge, drive with caution.

Waratah Road – Snow patches between Fingerpost and Waratah. Caution signs in place.

The power is off so no webcam at the moment.

Cradle Mountain Road – 4WD only from Visitors Centre to Rangers Station. Extreme caution

Friend sent me a photo of his car at Cradle Valley this morning.

Webcam is frozen over at Dove lake.

Cradle Mountain – Belvoir Road

Cradle mountain Road- Rangers Station to Dove Lake

Newhaven Road, Mawbanna – approximately 2.9km from Mawbanna Road – due to flooding (will be closed overnight 22-08)

Honey Suckle Road, approximately 13km from Tooms lake Road

Kaoota Road, Kaoota.

Saltwater River Road, Premaydena – Closed between Nubeena Road and Littles Road until further notice due to coastal erosion from recent weather (Access to Saltwater River and Lime Bay can be made via Littles Road).

Upper Esk Road, Mathina

Pinnacle Road Mount Wellington – closed at Bracken Lane, Fern Tree – due to forecast of ice and snow.



Hazardous Roads

Lyell Highway – Snow from Gormanston to Derwent Bridge (Snow clearing 1pm) – caution

Elderslie Road, Brighton.

Gordon River Main Road

Lake Dobson Tourist Road

Lake Secondary Road

Lake St Claire Tourist Road

Lyell Highway from Wayatinah to Derwent Bridge = extreme caution – heavy snow

Middle Tea Tree Road, Bridgewater.

Snug Falls Road, Snug.

Woolmers Lane Longford – road is signed to 60 Km at the bridge and traffic hazard signs are up due to damage to the seal.

An overnight southerly blast has once again brought snow to Cradle Valley
Dove Lake webcam is frozen over.

The Webcam is iced over at Dove Lake, as it snowed overnight, with snow settling on Tasmania’s higher peaks.
Great Lake, through to Cradle and also Mount Wellington
