Hi all,
Firstly this forum is great, I have learned a lot from all the reading. Who knew old bike tyre tubes were great fire starters!
The reason for my post is that I'm planning a trip to Frenchmans Cap in mid October.
Is the summit reasonably achievable if it's wet for an average bushwalker/scrambler?
Is there likely to be be any snow or ice around on the cairned ascent at that time of year? If there is, would it be worthwhile purchasing microspikes to help with the climb and would they be helpful?
