Epsilon Moraine? Western Arthurs exit?

Hi,

Just planning my next walk and noticed that in Chapman's book it mentions that you can exit the Western Arthurs via Epsilon Moraine and on to the McKays track? (the exit is near Square lake).

Can someone offer some advice as to that route? looks pretty clear from sat images?

Apparently it's quite scrubby, the current school of thought is that to return via Moraine A is the go, doesn't mean it can't be done...

I am looking at scotts peak dam to Mt Pegasus, as shorter walk before planning the full WA traverse. I don't really like to walk out the same way I came in if I can help it.
Keen to hear from anyone that has walked out that way, hopefully reasonably recently... I don't mind a bit of scree, scrub and bog. :)

Chapman suggests an 'unmarked track' roughly as per the purple marking.

Maybe best not to and stop the formation of another track? Or just go and do it and don't ask for info here which will mean increased people will use it and parks will have another track to try and keep people out of.
Just use moraine a, I reckon

yeah that is the sentiment in the other thread and I agree with you guys.

it's marked in books and on maps, otherwise I would not ask here. I know the rules.

None recent though, the route has been discouraged some some time now...

Still, with the recent fires there's probably a moraine L that needs checking out.... :wink:
