72-year-old man has died while bushwalking with friends in Tasmania's remote south west.
A Tasmania Police spokesperson said emergency services were called to the area about 7.30pm on Tuesday, March 12 after the group became separated.
The spokesperson said the group of three walkers, all aged in their 70s, were on a day walk at Mount Anne.
"One of the party - a 72 year old man from Canberra - was unable to be located," they said.
"The Westpac Rescue Helicopter was dispatched to the scene, where the body of a man carrying a backpack was located at the base of Mount Anne."
Sympathy to his family and friends
