Yes we are happy to take it where there will be an appreciative audience! In the past decade it has been more about taking opportunities when someone is travelling interstate and has time to run a show, to approach local bushwalking clubs about their interest in sponsoring a show. If you have any ideas about having a show in your area, let me know

There will be a ten minute section on "Lake Pedder Then and Now" and extracts from your Dad's film will be in the "Then" section at the start. There will be some footage from Arnold Rowlands film as well, and then a kayak paddle around the circumference of the old lake to finish off. Your Dad will get a thankyou in the credits!

Hi
flyfisher! The Hobart show will be in the first half of 2014 and probably around the same time as the Ulverstone show. If you wanting to get the new DVDs for Christmas, they will be available from the LWC after they are released on October 16th at the Launceston show. (If you would like to get a preview of the movies on the DVDs, let me know by PM.)

Saw this show in Launceston last night (Wednesday). Well worth seeing, particularly the original Lake Pedder and the new impoundment. Great views of the Blade and Cape Pillar from Tasman Island.

I went last night (Thurs) , really enjoyed myself , as usual.
It is well worth a night out and so different from a night in front of the telly.
It is an excellent show and well worth the admission price, plus you can get Vol 5 &6 of the movie collection at a good price.
I thought the 1 1/2 hours drive each way to see it was worth it.
No, I am not affiliated with DYKT or LWC.

Walking Wild TasmaniaDYKT or “Do You Know Tasmania” was a slide show put on for the public and organised by members of the Launceston Walking Club showing and highlighting Tasmania and it’s natural beauty and wilderness. The show was first held in the 1950’s.
A new multi media show (#47) will return for public viewing in Launceston during late October 2021. The new production will be known as “ Walking Wild Tasmania”.
Features of this show will include a story of bush fires in National Parks, a collection of interviews of some walkers who have climbed all ‘the Abels’ and a few recent walking and paddling trips by club members, plus two of our historic 16mm movies that will be released next year on our final two DVDs Vol 7 and 8.
Due to Covid restrictions there will be no door sales. Tickets are available on line -https://www.eventbrite.com.au/e/walking-wild-tasmania-tickets-98542153233
