My wife and i will start with the South Coast track from Melaleuca(you fly in) so that would be the Holiday parks pass for 30$ per person.
But later we will have a rental car and will be doing Walls, Mount Anne circuit, Frenchmans Cap...
Do we need to buy Holiday pass for vehicle or the per person pass?
Thanks for the info.

I'm pretty sure they are just transferable though would suggest contacting parks directly for an accurate answer.
Iv'e moved your post to the tassie section.

Just grab the car pass instead - that can also cover your walk. The walker pass is PER PERSON whilst the car pass can cover up to 8 people and is designed for a trip such as yours where you will be using both public transport and a hire car. If you purchase online just carry the voucher until you get to redeem the pass at a Parks Centre or Service Tasmania

To avoid starting another new thread:
Does anyone know if I can buy an Annual All Parks Pass on the ferry, or will I have to wait until I'm in reach of a TasPAWS Office?

Can you buy on online and have it posted to you before you catch the ferry?
I have bought all mine online and had them posted out. Might take a bit longer but saves some hassle....

An indication of severe overwork - I never even thought of that. Thank you.

I don't know how long it has been the case, but it appears that only Holiday (8 week) passes can be purchased online now.
https://shop.parks.tas.gov.au/ProductSearch.aspx?cat=14Annual and 2-year passes have to be purchased at Service Tasmania/PWS offices or faxed/mailed in now.... wasn't that way a few years ago when the PWS Shop was launched (I used to manage PWS's websites). Very strange.
Interesting to note that the whole Parks Pass system is still as confusing and random as ever. I honestly would have thought they'd have figured out a better system by now.
Cheers, Ben.
