Bushwalk Australia

Hello all,
I’m just after some information about the walk up Mt Murchison. I’m taking my friend up there tomorrow and she absolutely hates having to push through bush as she is not from Australia and is freaked about spiders etc. Ive never been up there so I’m wondering if someone can let me know if the track is fairly open? Thanks

Good track. Good walk. Some basic scrambling/exposure near the top but nothing too bad. No scrub.

Lucas Chamberlain has posted many videos of day walks in Tasmania including Mt Murchison on YouTube. Worth checking out to get an idea of what to expect if in doubt.

Track is very good - some slightly nervy sections scrambling if you're allergic to heights, and some slippery roots on the lower sections but overall really good, pretty easy walking! (was there at easter)

Definitely on my list.

I can’t believe I haven’t been up there before until the other day. It’s an incredible view from the top.

Yeah it really is. I had excellent weather for the walk too and no wind which was nice.
For a non walker, she did exceptionally well. Track was in excellent condition. Was very proud of her. I don’t think she knew what she was getting herself into when she met me lol. She’s now done 4 Abels with me.
