3 night, 4 day off-track circuit suggestions

Hi all
Borders permitting, I’ll hopefully get down to Tassie in mid-march for a week. Would love to use it as an opportunity to knock off a trip I never got round to doing while I was living there. The three that come to mind for things I haven’t done given the timeframe I have in mind are:
Gell - Cheyne - Rufus circuit
Wright - Stepped - Reeds
Agamemnon- Philps - sharland (+ Frenchmans there & back)

I’ve done a heap of off-track walking in Tassie & am comfortable with steep terrain (hence the philps-sharland link). Have left off things I’ve done like the walls (from various directions), mt curvier, various tarkine trips etc & probably don’t enough time for the Ducane range, & other longer trips I’d still love to do.

I’m leaning towards Gell & the Cheyne range but just thought I’d put it out to the brains trust any other suggestions given final decision will probably be a bit weather dependent.

Thanks!

Weather permitting the Gell - Cheyne - Rufus circuit is best during fagus season.

Only thing I can think of right now, you may already have done: Manfred - Tramontane - South Eldon saddle, out via Rocky Hill and Pigeon House (or in the opposite direction). You should be able to do that in the time you have.

If you get the line right from the river, the ascent is apparently quite easy as it's pretty open. Little bit of scrub around the upper Murchison near the South Eldon Saddle, but it's only a narrow band. From what I know of Osik's capabilities, I think he'd be fine.

Pigeon house hill to Narcissus via (rocky hill/Pyramid mntn/Goulds sugar loaf/cuvier shelf/mt cuvier/manfred day trip/mt byron) Although i note you have done cuvier.

When we did it - was a Thursday early start and finished by Sunday lunch for the ferry. some v big days, but a sensational area, mostly trackless but following ridges.

The gell circuit also worth consideration incorporating hugel and rufus too

Tyndal range, with a long day to sedgwick, maybe a day short, (but could also throw in a murchison to lake sandra circuit whilst in the area)

Three nights is plenty for ducane range too.

Worth a thought
