Lake Fanny

Postby JaguarShark77 » Sat 19 Feb, 2022 1:56 pm

Heya guys, hope you're all well. Heading to Lake Ada next week and walking in the general direction of Lake Fanny and surrounds for a couple days before wandering back. From everything I've read, looks like pretty good walking, and really looking forward to it. Just wondering if any of you guys who've been up that way have any tips or advice. Cheers.

Enjoy it. It's a great area, easy walking. Consider exploring west of Talleh and then north to Fanny; no track, but all very open unless you go as far as Powena Ck. And I've generally found it best to stay as close as possible to the lakeshore (especially this time of year) if heading further north. Gets a bit scrubby on the hillsides.

Much obliged, NNW - will definitely be taking that lakeside advice. And thank you - been looking forward to getting back to the plateau ever since we visited Sandy Lake in December. Just the most beautiful country.
