Hi all
has anyone been out to Mt Bowes in the last year or so, I am just trying to get a sense of how overgrown it is currently, and there have not been any posts about that for quite some time
cheers

Hi BW. I was there a few weeks ago. A few bits are a tad overgrown, but not a problem. The pad was obvious in most places, a little climby over and under horizontal in a few spots, and it's a highway in other places. It's much easier than having to push through anything thick. I wouldn't do it with wet vegetation, though, as you'd get satched pretty quickly. We really enjoyed it - another under-rated walk. Just don't be so engaged in conversation and checking out Mt Mueller that you miss the very obvious cairn marking the start of the walking track.

Thank you so much for the information, I might head out that way in the next few weeks
