Don't know about anyone else but I enjoy threads like this. so here goes:

Number of peaks?
Top three peaks?
Top three immediate goals?
Favourite experience?

Mine:

1: The Little Horn- Nice compact summit with views along the ridgeline, rarely climbed compared to its more popular neighbor.
2: Riveaux- I love the suspense of this peak, forest with no views until you pop out on an isolated island of dolerite.
3: St. Patricks Head- This peak is such good value for a two hour return trip.

1:Coronation- Will utilise multiple modes of transport to a great peak.
2:Weld- Great camsite, possibly seeing the crystal cave.
3: Bobs- Great views along with amazing forest and karst system.

4: Geryon South- epic/ classic
5: Massif- best campsite

Climbing the acropolis all iced over was pretty amazing. It was may and white flowers in full bloom were frozen over with ice hanging off them. This filled the gully, combined with low visibility created an eerie experience.

Top three peaks: Ossa, Cradle, Barn.......Mount Jerusalem, Murchison, Roland
Top three immediate goals: Triple Top Mountain Run - hoping to finish under 3hrs; would love to head further from home and maybe do Mt Anne or something; overnight trip with my 7 year old either to WOJ or Pine Valley
Favourite experience: My wife and I taking our 6 year old to Lees Paddocks for his first trip, unforgettable.

Peaks = 290

Faves (to date):
1. Federation Peak - can't be beaten when you get a blue bird, windless summit day
2. Mt Bobs - a major feeling of achievement doing it as a day walk; it was difficult to face the reality of the return leg from the summit tho, it was quite a long day.
3. Mt Gould - one of my first forays into the Sourthern Reserve - I felt like a kid in a candy store, so many future trips laid out before me and the excitement of 'first views' of this area.

Immediate goals:
1. Eldon Range - we depart in 4 weeks
2. Mt Nereus & a repeat of Geryon South - hoping to get my peak bagging buddies to the top
3. Mt Hopetoun & Crest Range - Hopetoun is an amazing mountain, can't wait for this one in late January.

Fave experience:
Just the whole wilderness experience really, new trips, new areas, remote off track walking, my bunch of like minded mates, sharing the joy with my girlfriend, a sunny summit day on a remote peak, a rainy forest, a happy camp site...I just love the outdoors

If I were to name just 1 all time day tho, it would have to be Federation Peak summit day - a team of 8 of us all summited in perfect conditions, spent an hour or more on top then swimming in Hanging Lake toi quench the heat of the day; a lazy lunch & climb Geeves Bluff - an amazing day in the mountains & one i'll never forget

Peaks = 118

Top 3 peaks;
Anne - First big daywalk in Tassie. an awesome mountain, blew my little West Australian mind.
Pegasus and Pegasus South - The most stunning saddle between 2 amazing peaks. Views from Frenchmans to Port Davey and all points in between(Lakes Uranus and Oberon either side below).
Acropolis - Unique and very fortunate conditions.

Top 3 goals;
Get back in the Southern reserve
Get back in the South West for a few nights with some mates
Get back in the South West for a few nights on my own

Favourite experience
The Western Arthurs solo, having that range to myself in sublime conditions, traveling at my own pace, snow at Cygnus, the magic hour on Orion, bathing in Oberon, sunbaking at high moor, cooking a feast on Columba as the sun set. A remote multi-day walk solo is by far the most challenging and rewarding thing I have done. So many highlights.

How did I forget Geryon south? Going there in november ! I have this list of oddities I want to finish which includes the crest range, it looks very nice and open with great views in the abels volume 2! Others on the list include: The hippo, cheyne range, louisa, goulds sl, the calf, jukes, tyndall, new harbour range, lots wife and the citadel. There is 50 all up. Little know, special peaks excite me much more than the classics generally! The less people that climb them the better

Number of peaks: 99

Top three peaks:
1. Very hard to go past Federation for number 1. Was fortunate enough to get views up on top. Was worth the slog up Moss Ridge just for that.
2. Mt Weld - Such a great peak, and not just because it was the last one I climbed. It really feels like you get reward for effort up there. A great daywalk.
3. Split this one between Mt Gould and Frenchmans. Both were great for completely different reasons. Frenchmans was a doddle on a perfect day, while Gould was a real challenge in deep snow, with the sun coming out just enough to get some great views. So many other worthy peaks though.

Top three immediate goals:
1. Graduation trip, whether the Eldons eventuate, or it becomes a Western Arthurs trip, either will be very satisfying.
2. The Franklands - penned in for mid December, really looking forward to this one.
3. The Du Canes and Mt Nereus. Du Canes may be some time before I make a full traverse, but Nereus is on the cards later in summer. So many trips that I want to do though.

Favourite experience: Well there are so many. The terror of being on top of a rock with a cliff right underneath me (Pelion West), The feeling of accomplishment when on top of Federation, Casually wandering around the Tyndall Range on a sunny Spring day, The exhaustion of plodding along the Arthur Plains to try to catch a ride home. The list could go on!

Sarah Jane- 1st trip to the SW.
Mensa Moor- 1st off track experience with scrub.
Schouten Island- Just and awesome place to chill out.

Immediate goals;
Eldon Range very soon.
Get my 5 year old daughter on an overnighter or two this summer (turned 5 today ).
Get to NZ next year for a coupla walks.
+dozens and dozens of others.

Best experience:
Walking solo, I enjoy company but I find the experience heightened when alone in remote locations.

Some kind of remote extended traverse: POW, Frankland, White Monoliths, Spires, Eldons. Anything along those lines.
