Lake Fergus

Postby rholzer » Wed 11 Jan, 2012 10:41 am

Has anyone been through Lake Fergus recently? Is the hut in reasonable condition? Is the hut likely to be full? Is there good camping nearby? I'm thinking of walking in and doing a spot of fishing first week of March. I've not been there before.

There is an undated note about lack of access here http://fishingtasmania.net/live/lake-fergus-update/

It might have a date and maybe some replies if you log in.

Fergus can be accessed vie the old track up the Little pine river. This is the only allowed access at this tine. The hut is small and likely to be occupied but you may be lucky. :)
The camping is idyllic anyway, not sure if you can have a fire or not.
Enjoy your trip and don't forget the camera. :D
