Congratulations to adventurer John Zeckendorf who has become the first Tasmanian person to reach the top of Mount Everest.
The Story is from the Tasmanian Mercury news site. (No link)

Thanks. I loved that I could use so many great Tassie walks to train. What an amazing place to live. Look forward to seeing you out there as I get new tips from this site.

Blessings

Story from ABC

http://www.abc.net.au/news/2017-06-15/c ... nk/8620114

Two weeks ago Tasmanian climber John Zeckendorf was literally on top of the world having conquered Mount Everest.

Zeckendorf is back in Hobart having joined a small but elite band of Australians to have made it to the summit.

He is also the only Tasmanian to achieve the feat, according to the Himalayan Climbing Database.

I think you're over estimating my achievements NNW. Everest is definitely not on my bucket list
The CDT will just about drain the cash reserves so I think I need a very generous sponsor, if I am going to be doing any more adventures outside Tassie. Also the physical reserves arent doing to well either, age is catching up.
But thank you for the vote of confidence NNW.
