Kungsleden (Abisko to Nikkaluokta) - logistics

Postby nickthetasmaniac » Mon 15 May, 2023 2:44 pm

Hi all, been a while!

I'm planning to do the Abisko - Nikkaluokta section of the Kungsleden in July and have a few questions around logistics. I'm intending to walk north-south but open to suggestions.

- Transport - I will be flying in and out of Kiruna. What is the transport like to Abisko and back from Nikkaluokta? How regular are the busses/trains, and is it necessary to pre-book tickets?
- Is it possible to buy screw-thread butane canisters in Abisko? If so, does anyone know where (specifically)?
- Is it possible to buy the 1:50,000 Kungsleden - Kebnekaise, Abisko & Riksgränsen in Abisko? If so, where?

Any other tips would be appreciated :)

Thanks!
