Yes Keith, on Mt Piddington.
I recognised the pylons going over the hill at Forty Bends.
Also in NSW...

No.
I'm standing at a lookout and there's a track directly below me.
Sun 13 Jun, 2021 5:18 pm
I'm not in a national park.
Sun 13 Jun, 2021 6:07 pm
Are you in Newnes State Forest ?
Sun 13 Jun, 2021 6:20 pm
No. Not in a state forest either.

It's named after a plant you find there.

Can we maybe narrow it down a little? Blue Mountains as a starting point?
Tue 15 Jun, 2021 10:41 am
It's not in the Blue Mountains, although that is sandstone you see. Geologically it's part of the Sydney basin, but geographically it's in the Central West.

I'm stumped. Tempted to say somewhere like Mt Airly or Bylong Ck area, but not sure if they're in NP and technically part of the greater BMs?

It's an easy walk, on track, with signage. Popular with the grey nomads. I did it with a baby on my back and three other kids in tow.
The landscapes in the valley below also appeal to people who share my particular interests.

I really didn't think this would be so hard.
The nearest town to this walk is Rylstone.

Fern Tree Gully walk near or at the Norm King Lookout

We have a winner!

Never been there but looks worth adding to the bucket list. More NSW and a long way from the last shot

My brain - which is bound to be wrong - says possibly Depot Creek?
Thu 17 Jun, 2021 1:57 pm
My brain, which is just as likely as yours to be wrong, if not more so, says yours is wrong in this instance. But you're not a hell of a long way off.
Thu 17 Jun, 2021 2:16 pm
I reckon it's a sure bet my brain has no idea.
So with that in mind it reminds me a wee bit of Napperby Gorge, which is no where near Depot Creek. But, what can I say I'm bored....
