Yes, that is exactly where I was. It is a really lovely spot close to town, but away from people. Your go.

A little bit of deduction and use of List Map got it.
Where is this?

Yes indeed. We went in October and the water was right up into the trees here. The following January the hole was completely empty and an amazing camping spot.

Yeah I've only ever seen it dry, one of the nicest places I've ever pitched my tent.
Where was I here?
Wed 29 Nov, 2017 8:31 pm
Thinking it looks Eastern Arthur-ish, maybe near the Needles, but I can't make it fit.
Wed 29 Nov, 2017 9:02 pm
Right general area but not the Eastern Arthurs.
Thu 30 Nov, 2017 12:13 pm
Looks a bit like the section of track between Cygnus and Hayes, where you descend the eastern side of the ridge to get around them there big lumps of rock up top . . . except it isn't pissing down or blowing a gale . . .
Thu 30 Nov, 2017 3:50 pm
Whoops, so it is actually on the Eastern Arthurs track, sorry Tortoise.
So no NNW, not between Cygnus and Hayes.

Is it somewhere in Four Peaks?
Thu 30 Nov, 2017 6:46 pm
Getting warmer.
Thu 30 Nov, 2017 7:08 pm
My other guess is the gully near the start of the southern traverse between the pinnacle and main spire of Federation Peak
Thu 30 Nov, 2017 7:12 pm
That's the spot beardless, over to you.
Thu 30 Nov, 2017 9:06 pm

This somehow looks familiar but I'm sure I haven't been there, maybe it was in a previous life.

It's quite possible i've posted it before. Buggered if I can remember what pics i've posted over the years. I'd need Eggs to tell me that
Sat 02 Dec, 2017 8:55 pm
Well eggs thinks you are looking at Gould's Sugarloaf from Little Sugarloaf - but he is not bothering to see if you posted it before...
Sat 02 Dec, 2017 9:06 pm
I thought he had a spreadsheet with all this stuff listed.

The SS was abandoned so long ago - I cannot even remember where to find it.
I generally have some thought about an older post and then have to search through pages for awhile to confirm any suspicions.
Next one
You can name both peaks and maybe where I was.
