Snave is Evans backwards; presumably how the person after whom it is named climbed it. And the name on the maps is Dick Nob, but close enough.

Thanks NNW!

Took a bit of hunting to find those names.

I'm back in NSW here.

In saying this, I expect the first thing that could happen is that icefest reappears. But if not, and to keep this on the move, is there someone in the forum who has never had the opportunity to submit a picture who would like to step in and take the next turn?

Good idea, I’ve had a few goes but I’ve got one from the weekend if nobody new jumps in? I’m easy.

Under the existing rules the turn is defaulted if the poster hasn't either responded with 24 hours, or appointed a proxy.
In which case it becomes open slather, and anyone who wishes to can go next without asking permission.
I agree with peregrinator that it would be awesome to see some new players, but all the photo games have slowed dramatically over the years.
Even the sometimes frantic Tassie version often runs at a glacial pace these days.
Past experience with inviting some anonymous new player usually results in no response and further delays.
I'm all for a grace period, but It's already been 12 days since the current image was posted, waaay longer than the 24 hours allowed.
Unless someone else jumps in immediately I reckon puredingo should go.

John W, I had already been thinking about such points as those you raised, and they are certainly applicable in this case. Yes, go for it, puredingo.

Hopefully Icefest will eventually fill us in on the subject of the previous photo. I still reckon it's the 3 sisters at katoomba.

Ok, in the interests of momentum name this NSW creek. I was pretty nervous taking this pic, quite a sheer drop beneath me!

Nope, but this creek does contribute to a pretty substantial catchment that is frequented by the water craft mob....and best viewed right on lunchtime.

Not in that area.

Right locality but this is much less remote.

Thanks, this is in NSW again. Will be instantly recognisable to those that have been there, and probably a few that haven't, so maybe give both of the named features at the top and bottom of the photo?
