Not from Geeves, but close..
PS - Sorry - just saw Last - yes from near the outlet from Hanging Lake

john correctly identified Lake Geeves which I hadn't been able to do, despite having been there more than once, so he can have it.

Very generous Last, thanks. A place I'm likely to visit only in my dreams.

Well yes, but looking for a more specific location.

Correct eggs. I had walked up from Lake Wilkes and returning to the bus stop via Kitchen Hut/OLT etc.
EDIT: I think you meant south? i.e. I was near the junction with the Face Track.

I am fairly confident you were north John - but still on the Overland track.
This photo has 3 rings - the face track junction, Kitchen Hut and the Horse track junction.
The foreground humps and the skyline peaks are almost the same as your shot.
However, I think Last should go next.

eggs, I accept your analysis. Your reputation for accuracy is well known.
I was going by the sequence and time stamps of my photos, plus vague memory (the latter not always 100% reliable).
In any case there is not a lot in it distance-wise.
Last, you have the floor...

Thanks eggs and john. An old theme.

Hello, old Friend! (I mean the mountain, not you, Last.) Proteus?
Tue 27 Feb, 2024 5:42 pm
Hmph. It would look a lot bigger from Proteus. And I've posted one from Proteus before.

I’m not sure if I’ve used this before but I’ll give it a try.

Yes Lta, from Wedge. I had some spectacular views the day I went up there, and the peak to myself.

Letstryagain seems to have been abducted by aliens. To keep things moving, looking at an icon. Visibility wasn't the best.
