Multitasking and the beer drinking component probably isn't helping

I think I should give this to Pazzar, but I can't.
The place is the Queenstown to Strahan Road at the lookout point where a short track goes down to Rinadeena.
Jukes has a distinctive 3 peaks at its southern end - and the guy(s) who walked it did not recognise it, but deduced it by the road you can't see in the photo... hmm
However, ILUV got to Jukes first

It looks a heck of alot greener from this side!!! But I do recall looking down this side on more green from the top of the range...

Looks like I went a bit far with the ruler.
So that is probably Mt Weld on the left - maybe from Mt Frederick?
Thu 23 Feb, 2012 2:00 pm
Haha ruler.. really??
Well it landed spot on this time, Frederick it is!!
Thu 23 Feb, 2012 2:41 pm
Yes - lining up The Thumbs with the west ridge off Mueller - but overshot and ended up at Hartz.

Must be good walking weather.
Bit hot over here.
This one has a similar background to the last one.

NE Ridge somewhere?
35 sat/sun in Hobbiton
Fri 24 Feb, 2012 3:18 pm
NE ridge of Anne is correct.
Would have been a short distance east from the Pandani Shelf turnoff

Are you looking towards the Western Arthurs (left halfof skyline) perhaps from near Mt Sarah Jane on a clear, icy morning?

A bit of the Warthurs(rhs side of skyline) can be seen, I'm not in the Anne area, but it was a clear and icy morning

Yessir Steanes Tarn. Your go!

Thanks.
This one is a bit different. Hardly a bushwalk but a 3 km stroll. Name either the point I have taken the photo from or the island to the right of picture. Bonus points for both and/or naming the island in the distance or any peaks in the far background.

This is on Tasman Peninsula.

could it be Wedge Island on the right, and North Bruny in the distance???

Hi Tortoise. Good to have a new player. (?)
Yes it is Wedge Island taken from Low Point near White Beach. The distant land is Bruny Island and Cape Queen Elisabeth can usually be made out.
Just to the left of the stack on Wedge is Adamsons Peak and with a bit of imagination Mt La Perouse and Pindars Peak can be seen.
Your turn.

Hi Graham
Yep, I'm a newbie - a technologically challenged one. It might take a while to figure out how to attach an image...
Sun 26 Feb, 2012 7:14 pm
Help, anyone! Am I too new to post images? If so, how do I "link to an image stored on a publicly accessible web server"?
If not, how exactly do i do attach one? Sorry about this...
Sun 26 Feb, 2012 7:21 pm
First choose your image and resize it - right click, resize pictures, custom fits a (I type in 750) screen.
Now go to POST REPLY (not quick reply) down in the bottom left of screen. Type in your text. Below the text is the Upload Image prompt. Just follow the prompts from there to browse, attach etc from there. Good luck. I hope that's clear enough.

Thanks for the help - I think I've got it
This one should be easy, but I'd love clarification of any of the less well known peaks. Cheers

well maybe a bit tricky - but you guys are soooo good at this!
Mon 27 Feb, 2012 4:08 am
looks like you're climbing pelion east, massif on the left, hyperion and the southern spur of ossa on the right
Mon 27 Feb, 2012 7:41 am
Yep, Pelion East it is, so over to you.
I think i'm a bit disoriented. I was thinking it was Castle Crag in the middle and ??Mt Spurling looking a bit like Pelion East...
