I need all the help I can get for area I have not visited. How about "The Cupola" just cause it has a cool sounding name and some where about where I think you might have been.
Looked like a great trip and some great scenery.

Haha a cool name indeed, and at the time a very special peak for me!! But not from there... however it's only a matter of deduction from here, so I think you should post next!! It's from the Citadel.
Really was an amazing walk, best untracked range you'll ever see!! The weather did help though..

Weather looked great. I thought it must have been the Citadel after reading the trip report and looking at the terrain and maps but Cupola took my fancy. Strange how many funny names you pick up looking at maps.
Game has slowed to a trickle of late. Maybe everywhere has been done or everybody is walking?
Won't post till tomorrow now so any one can jump in before then if they want a go .

Something slightly different, where am I?
NO the hut is not on a lean, my tripod was when I set it up in the dark and too much picture is lost rotating and cropping it, just tilt your head a bit

- Ironstone Hut / Lake Nameless Hut on a chilly -10 degree clear night.

That's it, Ironstone Hut, Nameless Hut or what ever else they have called it.
Balmy -10 degrees that night, the hut was quite cosy and the lake was frozen solid.

Well its Eldon Bluff to right of centre in the distance looking from the direction of Dome Hill, but with possibly some tele foreshortening you might be much further away?

I think Dome Hill would be way to the right of this shot.....

Correct about Eldon Bluff, but I'm a fair way away from Dome Hill, ILUV is correct about where that hill would be

Spot on Ian, with from the foreground back, Lamont's Lookout, Mt Byron, Mt Cuvier, leading on to Eldon Peak.
Behind me are 8 blokes snoring in their tents as I wandered the summit plateau on my own at sunrise, a very special time

Here's one taken on one of Tassie's "C" roads 'less travelled.' Looking for the name of the road and location.

Is this a photograph or a painting?
I'll try Interlaken Rd near Oatlands.

Definitely a photo and not a painting

.
You've got the right feeling for the countryside, but a bit too far to the north-east.

Woodspring road?
Fri 02 Mar, 2012 9:07 am
Getting closer now! . . . but on the wrong side of the Highland Lakes Road.
Fri 02 Mar, 2012 10:29 am
Meadsfield Road?
Fri 02 Mar, 2012 10:32 am
This road joins Meadsfield Road so you are nearly there!
