Lake Margaret hydro power station's original king billy pine pipeline.
It has just recently been rebuilt in timber again after heritage listing -

Yes
With the Mt Geikie ridge behind
I hope I can get up the walk next to the pipeline again one day.
I have used it to get onto the start of the ridge that winds around to Mt Sedgewick and would love to use it for a loop walk.
Won't be the same without the leaks though

OK, here's another easy one to get some new participants in the game

Is this Watersmeet after a dry spell?
Fri 02 Mar, 2012 11:32 pm
Yes
Graham51, you are correct. I took this only a week ago and was surprised by the low flow here. You could easily rock hop across.
Tasadam posted a photo of Watersmeet in this thread a few years ago with a normal flow.

Pindars?
Sat 03 Mar, 2012 9:18 am
Yes but actually when I think about it I think it might be getting down towards Pandanni Knob.
Your turn.

Figured you weren't on the summit.

Mt Bobs looking towards Provis Hills?
Sat 03 Mar, 2012 4:33 pm
Certainly wouldnt be provis hills.. they are hills, these things in the shot are clearly mountains, also i know Dan hasnt been to Bobs, so it isnt Bobs....
I reckon that might be Picton in the distance though....
Sat 03 Mar, 2012 5:01 pm
2 'peaks' and 2 'mountains' to be precise, so not Bobs, I did try and go there once..... Mt Picton is at the back soooooo,,,,,

They must be all out walking.
I must admit that Hartz / Snowy looks less than it should from this angle.
So maybe on Adamson's Peak
Sun 04 Mar, 2012 7:03 pm
Adamsons it is, from just below 'The Cow' as it appears on some maps. Your go.

Is this New Town Falls?
Mon 05 Mar, 2012 6:42 am
Not New Town
Mon 05 Mar, 2012 2:35 pm
Bit slow.
Noone apart from Graham having a dip?
Hint - this has been on the game before
Mon 05 Mar, 2012 2:38 pm
Haven't been there but the Googleator suggests Dip Falls near Stanley?
Is this in a basalt region Brian?
Mon 05 Mar, 2012 2:54 pm
This is the Dip Falls.
Only visited once about 30 years ago - so don't know how widespread the rock was - but definitely looks basaltic

Are we looking at Capricorn South from Capricorn?
Tue 06 Mar, 2012 5:14 pm
Stu tends to operate during work hours. But it won't be WAs. That is the west coast range behind.
Tue 06 Mar, 2012 9:02 pm
Yes, eggs is onto something...
Tue 06 Mar, 2012 10:32 pm
Was this descending down the west side of the Frenchman or coming back up it again after your excursion along the ridge to the south?
Any tricky bits?
[That side was completely shrouded in cloud when we were on top. Only had views north, east and southish]
Wed 07 Mar, 2012 8:39 am
Yes, this is on our return leg from a long day trip to Clytemnestra.
There is an obvious spur to descend (north-west) off the back of the Frenchman, then gullies lead west down to the little tarns.
Below is MJD's GPS plot of the day...& over to you Brian.
