Ragged? I recognise the trig marker...(and the view).

I don't think you do sbs. It's not Ragged. I didn't see any sort of marker there except the cairn. Besides, if you look closely you can see the rock under that marker is very coarse conglomerate, unlike the top of Ragged.

This is on a named lump, but not (quite) on the highest point. Getting up there was hardly like playing in the dollhouse.

Ah geez... you've made it too easy now.... what was the track like up Isbens? I have often wanted to climb that one day....

Yes, that's on Ibsen Peak.

It's fun. The start from the 4WD track is cairned and taped, and while the track is a little rough it's easy enough to follow, although you need to be careful on the lower part of the descent because the treefalls make it very easy to get off line through the forest. Some nice little scrambles, although the summit boulder itself is a bit difficult - kind of like a harder version of Bonds. Most of the tape is old and faded, but you won't get lost. Narrow pad pushed through a mix of tea tree, buttongrass with the occasional bit of banksia, then add bauera, then it opens a bit on the start of the climb with mossy low forest, then the boulders start. Very scrubby around the higher boulders where you have to circle around for the last bit of the climb, but a track's been pushed through it. Very, very narrow slot between boulders to get to the summit rock and the old trig. Great views.

Sounds alright! The conglomerate peaks in that area are a bit messy along the ridgelines!

No. It IS on the plateau but somewhere east of there. There's a popular tourist site just out of frame.

Looks like it might be Pine Lake down on the left with the Great Lake in the distance. Also looks to be the wrong angle to be taken from Projection Bluff but could be!
