Just a technicality. Bakers Beach is on the Port Sorell side of the park. Badger Beach is on the eastern side. A beautiful beach.

OK - checked the LIST.
[Edit - I thought this looked like Bakers Beach looking towards Little Badger Head - but it is not
That will be the West Head lookout (white object on the left headland). ]

Not Gell, unfortunately you dont really get a good look at Gell until your right underneath the summit, then it does not look as imposing as it is! Similar profile to this mtn though.
HINT, this is a very very common mtn to climb, but it's rarely seen from this angle.

Probably totally off the mark, it's not Crater Peak is it?

Hugel from the Cheyne Range?
Tue 29 Jun, 2010 7:42 am
South... south.. loooong way south.......
Tue 29 Jun, 2010 7:44 am
is it La Perouse from Leilateah? With lots of zoom of course
Tue 29 Jun, 2010 7:49 am
Um, havent you been to Laperouse Jared?? laperouse is kinda flat.....

Actually I think i can see how you may have thought it was that... and I can certainly see a resemblance to Gell, Hugel..... no cant see hugel
One of the most commonly done walks in the SW, though as I said, this angle is probably seen by less than 1% of people who do this trip.

Hehehe ok, heres comes a clue.
This mountain is Tasmanias womanizer. He has 3 mistresses and a wife.
Tue 29 Jun, 2010 7:53 am
I've only seen La Perouse from the northern side - I had a feeling I was wrong - im just wasting time - must be mt lot
Tue 29 Jun, 2010 7:56 am
If it was, where would I be to get this angle??
Tue 29 Jun, 2010 8:00 am
Well im guessing that is lake piccone at the base, so you would have to be near lonely tarns
Tue 29 Jun, 2010 8:04 am
well that makes sense - nothing was adding up from that side. You are on North East Ridge
Tue 29 Jun, 2010 8:05 am
Lake Picone probably gets more than 1% of people doing Mt Anne visiting it as well.....
Not QUITE the NE ridge, though we were on the NE ridge shortly AFTER this......
Tue 29 Jun, 2010 8:06 am
Gomorrah then
Tue 29 Jun, 2010 8:08 am
Oh look you'll get there eventually, its from the Pandani shelf!
Your go Paz!!
Tue 29 Jun, 2010 8:10 am

Tue 29 Jun, 2010 8:18 am

somewhere pretty heavily forested!! Looks a bit like the land surrounding the Gog range.
Wed 30 Jun, 2010 6:09 am
ithink its alot further south and closer to the coast in the Researche region, lower slopes of Adamsons or someother smaller peak,
*actually it would be further south than adamson
Wed 30 Jun, 2010 8:35 am
Are you climbing St Valentines Peak
Wed 30 Jun, 2010 8:53 am
Tend to agree with Frenchie but it's not Adamsons or Hartz, the sand clearing should give it away......maybe Esperance Pk?
Wed 30 Jun, 2010 9:43 am
Not Adamsons
Not Valentines
and not Esperance
Wed 30 Jun, 2010 9:47 am
I'd say you are near Lake Skinner
