It does look very NWish though, but I'm having trouble picking where it is. I don't know if that's a farm or a sand pit in the middle.

I notice a lot of rain in the background which could be obscuring views - but I am not sure I can see any ocean.

Yes, quite correct Eggs, you get quite a good view from up here of the surrounds for not much hard work.
Oh and what people thought was sand was morning frost on farmland.

Amazing - that was search by Google Maps. It is likely that St Valentines Peak lurks behind that curtain of rain.
A bit like working out where this one is..

I was surprised it took so long to guess.
Its looks like Schnells Ridge coming up the ridgeline from the track. Lake Judd has given it away I think?
