You're probably about 10-15km away from me. I'm not on a mountain as such but there are plenty around me.
Not sure if I could see Mt Columbia above the ice through the whiteout to my left. It possibly could be reached from here, not certain.

Looks like those flounders have floundered :P. Again I know nothing relevant to this one, so let's start somewhere.
Some research on NZ flounder fishing suggests around Whangarei might be a good area for it.
Are those islands in the distance? What about Bream Bay? At least that's named after a fish.

I saw that movie too but it didn't click. It's getting harder to identify new material and OS travel is a very long way off.
You must have enjoyed that trip Brian, Fiji is a very friendly place. Rafting on the upper Navua River...

It was a long lonely wind swept Beach when we were looking over it. Amazing place.
I have a few shots from various places, but need to think about how hard they are to identify. So yes Upper Navua in Fiji.

I found another one for the rail buffs. I just need the name of the river valley.
Bonus points for which state and the name of the train I'm on, USA:

Is that the Colorado River Valley?

If that is correct then one would presume you are on the Colorado Zephyr, in colorado state.
If pressed I would guess you are approx 1.2km (0.75 freedom units) upriver of Radium Hot Springs - which is just after a little mini-gorge after Gore Canyon.

Yes the Colorado River Valley is correct. I can't be certain of the exact location but yes to Colorado state. Have you rafted the river? We passed several rafting parties.
I can only confirm that we are in a part of the Rockies somewhere west of Denver and east of the Utah border.
Train name is close, actually the California Zephyr. It travels from Chicago to the San Francisco Bay area. We boarded in Denver going through to SF overnight.

It took some hunting, but I found this labelled image online, which together with google maps found what i'm pretty sure was the right bend in the river:

That's amazing, it's almost exactly the same spot. I took a lot of photos from the train, but reflected glare through glass made many of them next to useless. I only posted that because it was one of the better ones.

The new photo, I'll guess south island. I can see people walking along the top of that ridge line.
Probably wrong but let's start with somewhere in The Remarkables.

Thanks. I need to get my eyes checked, again. It was just a guess, but had a Queenstown-ish area look. Eggs wasn't too far away.

I'll continue with my rail theme. From another train, USA:

The visibility isn't great but there are a pear of named glaciers at this location, more or less next to each other.
The name of the visible foreground one will do. The other is somewhere behind it, possibly to the left.
