I actually have some pictures of Long Meg but this isn't one of them. You need to move further north.

But you are right about the stone circle or at least what's left of it.

There are good views from here across the loch to Schielhallion and Ben Lawers.

With all the generous clues Greg, I'll say you are at Loch Tay and the last photo is the Falls of Acharn near the village of that name.
I'm not sure about the stones but given that "Acharn" in Scottish Gaelic is Àth a' Chàirn and means "Field of the Cairn", maybe Acharn Falls Stone Circle?

John, you have solved this one through advanced scholarship, it is indeed the eponymous Falls of Acharn Stone Circle :) Over to you.

Thank you Greg, I'd love to revisit Scotland and spend more time there.

I’m assuming it’s a geyser of some description - or name. Old Faithful?

It is a thermal feature but it's not a geyser. Old Faithful is roughly 80 km from here.

Yes, persistence pays off Graham. That's close enough. I think the official name for this one may be Palette Spring.
I've seen references to Angel Terrace as well but I think that's actually a different feature, albeit very close to this one.
In any case I would have accepted Mammoth Hot Springs. Fascinating walk around the terraces there.

Bit of an educated guess as I didn't quite get there myself, but the colour was the clue.

Still in Asia. What settlement am I approaching here.

Wobbly is on the money.

It is the approach to Machermo with Cho Oyo in the background.

When I said close to Gokyo I [i]really did mean close[i] Hard work smashing through the snow in winter. I took a rest day whilst the rest of our group plugged on to Gokyo but all too tired next day to go up Gokyo Ri, so they rejoined me at Machermo on the way back down to the Khumbu Valley. Beautiful part of the world.

Wobble away.
