I didn't think this would need any clues. I'm on a boat in one of the most visited tourist locations in NZ.

TBH, in the interest of easiness I would have accepted Milford Sound.
For some reason I thought I was closer to to Bowen Falls, but that does look correct eggs.
We were probably near the underwater observatory.

Looks like Fiji
Men wanted for hazardous journey. Low wages, bitter cold, long hours of complete darkness. Safe return doubtful.

Ah John - yes our brief visit to Fiji entailed only one white water adventure - on the Upper Navua River.

My wife keeps suggesting a return to Fiji, but I'd rather any OS trips wait until Covid is well and truly in the rear view mirror.
Easy one. Let's go with a more pedestrian river in Fiji:

I didn't think I would need to sig for my supper on this one but here's a clue.
The broken bridge on the left was caused by a 1994 cyclone.

Correct, Sigatoka River on the Coral Coast (pronounced Sing-A-Toe-Ka, hence the misspelt clue).
