I have briefly visited Montana commando. A good travel hint to remember - it's a state that doesn't charge sales tax.
But this location is not on US territory.

I was tricked with this picture even the mountain peaks look the same and snow lines at the same place.
and it does say North America at the top of the "where is the location" picture.

This is on the North American continent, but not in the USA. I'll repeat the image as we've drifted onto a new page.
A further clue - a much celebrated train journey passes through here. Passengers stay in local hotels then rejoin the train.

It is definitely Banff. I was walking past on the way to a nearby fenland reserve and called in to have a look at the station.
The Rocky Mountaineer is the train that has a regular schedule here. Over to you commando.

Is this on a track in the Mt Cook area? I crossed some suspension bridges but I can't remember the name of the track or the lake it went to.

We spent 5 days in Whistler and enjoyed it. It's very commercial around the village but that gave my wife something to do as she doesn't bushwalk.
Some good short alpine hikes up on Whistler-Blackcomb and some others worth exploring outside the village precinct.

Correct Graham
Hooker Valley walk next to Mueller Lake Mt Cook NZ you can see some remnants of terminal moraine
in that area estimated around 15th century.
Spent many nights in the Hooker Hut but it has been removed now as deemed too dangerous and near to the edge of the Glacier.
The Copland pass track was a steep climb out, too large a rucksack, and a slip there, means its all downhill.

Sorry John you missed by 4 minutes

Not sure if everyone is aware of the photo game rules:
http://bushwalk.com/wiki/index.php?title=Where_is_it_-_Rules
"If no progress is made in 24 hours then the owner of the photo should volunteer some additional clues"
Otherwise the game dies...

I was waiting for at least a guess, its secluded and a tough challenge, i doubt even many Americans have been there, as you need a boat.
But its not an island.

To narrow it down I'm guessing that puts you somewhere in the area of Albemarle Sound or the Alligator River?

That and the earlier clues suggest it could be on Knotts Island but I'm yet to find a slot machine.
