Lets get out of NZ, I'm taking you to Europe. :)

What trail am I on, and what is the name of the nearby peak?

Tolpagorni, yes, and Kebnekaise is out of view behind some clouds to the right.

I'll give that to you eggs, and I'm sure you know the name of the trail I'm on?

Actually - I am not sure. This was dug up using web searches. It might be a side trip on something called Kungsleden [the King's Trail], but it was easy to get the location and view, not so easy getting trail names.
I think the track you were on is between Kebnekaise Hut and Singi.

Might head back to NZ again now:

I can't remember exactly where I was on that trail, but I think it was before (east of) Kebnekaise Fjallstation. The trail is called Dag Hammarsköld-leden and it connects the beginning of the Fjallraven Classic at Nikkaluokta to the Kungsleden trail.

I agree it's not always easy to get the trail names without local mapping. Often, Google just won't show trail names. I guess their contributors and viewers are not that interested. You will however often find trail names on openstreetmap.

Thanks eggs, looks fascinating. I've been wanting to visit NZ for years, which is silly since it's only next door.

Back to the USA next. Please forgive the quality and water spotting, I ended up really wet on this one.

Both Tortoise and wayno correct but looks like Tortoise got there first. Spectacular falls. Planned to finish walking that short bit to the top, but everything got saturated by the unbelievable amount of spray before I thought about waterproofing. That track is called Mist Trail for good reason.

Thanks, John. Hope your camera gear survived!

Realised I don't have any photos with me for this, so... here's a chance for anybody to post.

I think you are right - might be Le Petit Dru.
Must look out for it when we are over there in July.

Not sure who the real winner is here, but here is another where is it:

We're in the UK, where are we and what is the lake called?

Bonus points if you can identify the guy in the blue jacket talking to the ferryman :)

Well Michael that is you paying the ferryman.

And is it in Scotland, part of a TGO Challenge ?

That is not me paying the ferryman, hint: he is a well regarded cottage gear maker! :)

It is Scotland and the TGO Challenge though. We need the name of the lake.

Ok sorry, didn't look close enough

I'd have to trawl through your site to find all the lake ferry crossings so I'll take a stab at Loch Ness. I think that was crossed in one of them
