I think the Minotaur is always clagged in.

How about the lookout near Cyane lake?

That's it Last. A good view of Mt Geryon from there among other features, we were fortunate to have good weather.

Eggs, I climbed to the high point marked 1334 metres on the list map and descended from there, largely following the Abels book advice. my route down to the lake was steep and scrubby but I'm certain they all are. I managed more through good luck than good management to come out at the top of the landslip visible on the list arial photos. this made the last part much easier. If I did it again I probably wouldn't bother climbing up to the 1334 point but would just continue past the unnamed tarn and drop off further north, still aiming for the landslip. I would be interested in hearing if anyone thought this better. I'd like to go back.

Hi Eggs,
We roughly followed the 'excellent' route in Louise's blog. Easy peasy, relatively speaking. I'd been put off for years by those scrub stories. Unnecessarily, it turns out. :)

Everyone must be out walking. Not somewhere I've visited by the look of things.
Reminds me of the south west. The second photo distant background looks like a profile of the OLT peaks.
I doubt that view could be seen from here, but I'll try somewhere on the Mt Anne track.

That looks like quartz in the foreground. Not many abels in quartz country, so somewhere around Frenchmans?

That’ll do, Last. I’m out walking! That’s Frenchmans in the second photo, with Philps Peak. The first is of Snowy Agamemnon from the Frenchmans Cap track. Loddon Plains, iirc.
