Weeeeell, thanks, devo - but I didn't actually guess a spot. If teak's right - which I think he is - it'd be over to him.

You put me in the right area Tortoise and I only had to look at a few old photos to narrow it down, so over to you.

To narrow this down this looks like you are in the Cradle Mountain Lake St Clair National Park, West of the Overland Track.
My guess is you are part way down High Dome.

Spot on with the first bit, beardless, but easier to get to than High Dome.

Yep. We're skirting the summit block of Achilles on the south side. Du Cane Range, Geryon, a disguised Hyperion, Eros, Olympus, Gould & Walled Mountain in view from left to right, I believe. Please correct me if I'm wrong, Eggs!

Oh, and the end of Thetis immediately behind Achilles.
Tue 22 Jan, 2019 11:22 am
The back end of Thetis helped line it up.
Next one
- descending the Berchervaise cliffs to the Berchervaise Plateau campsite

Nice shot eggs. It is steep and precarious and it really captures that.

Yeah nice shot indeed. How about this snap?

Such rich sunset colours. It reminded me of Lake Cygnus straight away, then after I had guessed that I looked at some photos online and became unsure so I included an edit (which I since deleted) that I thought I might be wrong but in the meantime you confirmed it was right. Sometimes it is best to go with first impressions.
Here is another water feature. Where am I?
