I think it will be the Henty River on Ocean Beach.
Looks too far south to be the Little Henty.

Drat! I was hoping someone would guess something on the north coast first. Bang on, Eggs. Over to you.

Agnew and Heemskirk are fairly distinctive - but I am going bush for a while - so anyone can go next.

Sorry, Osik. Wrong part of the state.

I think that's Little Horn from ... the saddle on the way out to Emmett?

Yes to Little Horn. Verrrrrrry close, but this has a name. The features that give the name are behind me.

It looks too far away to be Lindon Tarns, but I can't think what else on that side has a suitable name.
Mon 17 Aug, 2020 10:40 am
If I'd answered this I would have said what NNW said. The only other named feature I can is the Cradle Cirque.

It is in fact Lindon Tarns, which are virtually west of Lake Rodway. The Lake Rodway track goes through the valley in view.

And you woulda got it.

Yeah, I can see where the track goes. Have to get up to those tarns one day. Looks a bit scrubby but presumably there's a not-too-bad route up from near the hut.
Good job I beat Last to the punch, then.

Yep, there is. The pad kinda peters out near the hut, and we missed it on the way up. Not too bad anyway, as you say. The pad is not hard to find coming back down.

They are always easier to find on the way back down.

That looks a little like the Loddon Range off to the left. Are you on Calders Lookout?
Tue 18 Aug, 2020 12:04 am
on the Fincham track somewhere near Mt Madge?
Tue 18 Aug, 2020 7:28 am
Neither. Although it is in roughly the same area. Calders is closer.
Tue 18 Aug, 2020 6:57 pm
Were you going ove rFranklin Hills on the Frenchmans track?
Tue 18 Aug, 2020 7:27 pm
Calders was closer. For one thing, it's on the right side of the road.
Tue 18 Aug, 2020 7:40 pm
Alma?
Tue 18 Aug, 2020 8:29 pm
That's it. Heading back down to the road through the heath and sedge. Lovely walk.
Tue 18 Aug, 2020 8:45 pm
Might get there one day. Busy day tomorrow, so here's an easy one - what are we about to climb?

C'mon, folks. Somebody have a crack at it. Pleease!

Calm down. There's plenty of time for someone to come in and start rambling on about what it's like to climb Geryon Nth. I can't because I still haven't.

Thanks, nnw. Busy day, needed to be able to forget about this! I can recommend Geryon N, btw.
Your turn.

Something relatively recent, then. And a lot tamer than Geryon.

Sisters Rocks?
Wed 19 Aug, 2020 12:27 pm
I don't know what the rocks are called, or even if they have a name. I want the name of the walk/track.
edit:: OK, looking at the map they would be Sisters Rocks so I'll give it to you. Looks like there would be some fantastic diving around there.
