Parsons track?
Sat 28 Nov, 2020 6:01 pm
I saw nothing like that on Parsons or Yeates and the forest looks too open to be either anyway. Nor can I make sense out of the clues . . . dirtier, break time . . . ahhh, Smoko Creek?

On ya NNW. It’s technically on the Cummings track from Smoko Rd I think but close enough.
Go for it.

Thank you. Should have thought of it sooner, but brain is still in "walk" mode.
I'm going to go back tot he one I posted previously to get it finished off, as no-one has hit on the answer yet.

Adding previous guesses and replies. No-one is on the mark yet. This is on a track; the track has an informal name, which may possibly be related to this spot.

I think you may be on the Eye of the Needle track next to Winterbrook Falls on the way to Black Bluff.

Your thinking is extremely accurate, teak. Over to you.

Wish I'd had conditions like that. Nice to know there is some sort of a view (sometimes).
Right, this is very close to something with a highly appropriate name.

Howells Bluff looking over February Plains?

No. You're both in the right general area, but the wrong place. This isn't on the peakbaggers list or a frequently visited spot.

There we have it. And if anyone was wondering whether it was worth the effort: NO! Might have been if Hughie hadn't starting sending those nasty squalls over just before I hit the top of the ridge, but probably not. Scrubbiest bit of the Walls/Plateau I've visited.

Was it the name that tempted you? Actually the view looks pretty good.
I just realised I have the current photo in all 3 games again. But I promise to use my power for good and not evil, bwahahaha.
Here we go:

The name, the fact it had a name, the position and simply that I was in the mood to explore that plateau as thoroughly as possible. That view isn't from the point itself, but from a lesser interim rockpile part of the way out. I have no idea what the view is like out where I ended up because you couldn't see much of anything at that stage. But it would take one hell of a lot to make up for the difficulty of getting out there. It doesn't look that bad from a distance, but how it looks from a distance is, well, deceptive.
